The women of Culver City Elks Lodge #1917 have done it again. They got together to spend a evening dining, painting a picture and bidding on items up for auction. All to benefit the Culver City High School Homeless Children.
There are nearly 200 teens attending Culver City High School who are homeless. On top of the usual angst high schoolers face, these children also worry about basic survival essentials; finding shelter, food, and a way of keeping clean. The Culver City United…Continue

The Ballona Creek Wetlands will be open to the public from 9 am to noon the first Saturday of every month. This is a drop in event, so please come down anytime that morning.
The Wetlands is at the Ballona Ecological Reserve, located in Playa del Rey, are normally off limits to people in order to preserve their specialness.

A video feed of five people passing papers around a conference table wouldn’t gain much attention on most nights. Toni Ferrara was named Elk of the Year for 2017-2018 at an honorary dinner held Friday night, 3/23/2018.
This honor was given for her unflagging willingness to do whatver needed to be done and always doing it with a smile.

Culver City is unexpectedly rich with aviation, television and motion picture history. This is where Sony Pictures Studios started, then known as Metro Goldwyn Mayer. The Hughes Aircraft plant opened in the year 1941. Numerous blockbuster classic movies like Grease or Gone With The Wind were filmed at the studios.
