Westfield Culver City announces Westfield Buzz TV

As someone who doesn't live in Culver City, but spends most of their day there, I'm always on the look out for things to do while I'm here.  Over the past few weeks I've been fortunate enough to stumble onto a series of events & appearances at Westfield Culver City.  Everything from NBA players releasing limited edition sneakers to autograph sessions with musicians & actors.

Laura Chardiet Kicks Off Her Campaign for School Board



Laura Chardiet formally inaugurated her campaign for the Culver City School Board on Sunday at the home of City Councilman Scott Malsin and his wife, Anne. A teacher for 10 years and parent, Chardiet said she wants a seat on the board in this time of shrinking school budgets "because I'm fiesty and I'm creative. No Carmageddon Traffic in Culver City

I thought that if there was one place in Culver City that might be affected by traffic backing up on the 405, it might be this intersection of Washington Pl. and Sepulveda Blvd. But nope. As of 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, all is well. As this picture shows, there seems to be less traffic, if anything.

Portion of Ballona Creek bike path closed through Wednesday for improvements

Last week I was riding the newest part of the Ballona Creek Bike Path with my wife, starting at Kronenthal Park, and heading all the way to the ocean.

 

While happy to see the section opened after it as closed for years, it was disappointing how rough the path was where it was repaired with asphalt and all the graffiti. Especially when you compare this sections to the beautiful…
