Attempted Break-In on the 4100 block of La Salle Avenue in Culver City this afternoon

There was an attempted break-in on the 4100 block of La-Salle Avenue this afternoon around 2 p.m.  Our neighbor arrived home to find her television outside of her house and when she attempted to go into her house, the robbers ran away from the home.  She informed us that she saw a couple of young black men, perhaps high school age or thereabouts running away from her house.  Another neighbor saw one of them casing outside the house, then using his cell phone to call his buddy to bring a…

Culver City Will Impose an Additional 2% Transient Occupancy Tax

Somewhat lost in the hubbub around the new Culver City Council members was the news that Culver City voters voted 'Yes' on the city's sole ballot measure, an initiative to raise the city's transient occupancy tax from 12 percent (effective since 1989) to 14 percent. Expo Line trains to hold test runs to Culver City station starting Monday

The Metro Expo Line will open to the public on SATURDAY, APRIL 28th from 7th/Metro Station to La Cienega/Jefferson Station.

 

Still there will be testing for the Culver City Station from Monday April 9 to Friday April 13 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Trains will be running between the La Cienega Station (at La Cienega Blvd. and Jefferson Blvd.) and Culver City Station (at Venice Blvd. and Robertson Blvd.), according to METRO's Stacy S. Yamato.
