It's likely you are more movie savvy than most movie audiences. After all, Culver City is a movie town. But have you noticed a growing trend? Over half of film credits are now for computer generated special effects? (CG and VFX)

You can be proud that your neighbor, SONY Pictures is an industry leader in Visual Effects. Much is done here in town, some shared with other shops. Some computer visual effects are obvious, like a 15' alien in Men in Black. Some effects are so realistic it's hard to tell any effect was used, like creating natural seeming surroundings.
