The Online Community for Culver City – The New Scene

Many of the galleries up and down Washington Blvd. and La Cienega Blvd. in the Culver City will celebrate new openings this Saturday, February 25, from about 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. As always, these openings are free and open to the public.
All the galleries are within a couple of blocks of one another, so it's easy to check out all the shows in a couple of hours. Here's a map to help you negotiate the terrain.

Here's an image from the Carolyn Gastano's show at Walter Maciel at 2642 S. La Cienega, which is a must see. Castaño has created a series of paintings based on real-life ”narco novias,” women drawn into the netherworld of drug cartels through romantic entanglements.
