The Online Community for Culver City – The New Scene
The Serious Eats website recently explained why Abbot's Pizza on Sepulveda Blvd. in Culver City recently changed it's name to Grey Block Pizza -- and spotlighted the "salad pizza" that makes it worth visiting (or re-visiting). Says the site: "The original Abbot's in Venice remains the same, but founding creator Thomas Schiffer severed ties and took ownership of the Culver City and Santa Monica locations. Both recently underwent a remodel and are the 'final result of our unwillingness to compromise on reaching our full potential in preparing and presenting phenomenal pizza.'" Despite the name (and sign) change, the pizza still boasts the same bagel crust.
Here's a picture of the Salad Pizza the article raves about.
