The Online Community for Culver City – The New Scene
At the Culver City Council meeting on Monday, the City Council approved a commitment letter with the Jazz Bakery for the sale of the city-owned property located at 9814 Washington Boulevard. According to the agreement, the property is given at no cost to the Jazz Bakery with the understanding that they will develop on the site a state-of-the-art jazz venue with 250 seats. The plans, shown here, demonstrate that the 2086-square-foot performance space will be arena-shaped.
The plans for the ground floor show the smaller 794-square-foot "Black Box" theater (in darker purple), a cafe (in grey), and gallery space in the lobby.
