Really Tough Sweethearts - Roller Derby finds a home in Culver City
When it comes to live sports, roller derby's got it going on. The action-packed game and electrifying energy among the skaters and crowd promise a unique, fun-filled night for you and your family. And as far as roller derby leagues go, the Angel City Derby Girls are a must see in Southern California!
Much like the perfect woman, ACDG is the complete package: dedicated but loves to have fun, hot but not stuck up, the right mix of sass and sensitivity, feminine, classy and brutally tough at the same time and and above all else, always a good time.
As Southern California's premier flat track roller derby league, ACDG is about to rock and roll into their 2013 season on February 16th at their home track in Culver City. As the most competitive all-female flat track league in the Southwest, their games (or "bouts") are a sure-fire way to spice up your Saturday nights. There's beer and wine for the adults and announcers who explain the game (with an often-dry wit for added entertainment). Don't know squat about roller derby? No problem. ACDG is a totally volunteer-run organization and has knowledgable and fun skaters and staff running around that love nothing more than to talk derby to you.
We know first dates can be scary, but what better way to get acquainted with this amazing sport than to witness the Angel City Derby Girls on Valentines Weekend? Sparks. Will. Fly.
