Native Angeleno Najah Roberts is no nonsense when it comes to being knowledgeable about what matters most in life. Roberts has a passion for empowering others, and she's very good at it. The new found media personality expanded her career to radio last year and currently hosts Ahead of The Crypto Curve on Tavis Smiley's KBLA 1580 weekdays 1-2pm PST.
Roberts father always cautioned her, "If everyone else is doing it, do the complete opposite," a message she has carried with her and she said has made all the difference in her success thus far.
So when an opportunity to join forces with famed actor and New York Times best-selling author Hill Harper came knocking, Roberts didn't shy away, but accepted the call. Harper and Roberts joined together to create The Black Wall Street, an app aimed at reaching more people of color to become financially literate. Harper and Roberts decided to take their progressive movement to the streets to impact communities with their initiative tackling topics like financial security, generational wealth, and bitcoin.
Last year, their Digital Financial Revolution Tour stopped in 30 cities across America. This year, Harper and Roberts are taking their message to the people on a 41-city tour visiting disenfranchised cities to give away bitcoin to those in attendance, and teach Crypto 101. This year's tour will kick off in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Leimert Park on May 28th at 6pm.
"We are very excited to kick off the tour in Los Angeles, my hometown," said Roberts. "Last year we saw a significant need for financial guidance and so we decided to add even more cities to the calendar this year."
Roberts is serious about teaching others about saving and investing, building a net worth, and securing a financial future. The financial wiz has been "Leading my people out of financial slavery," for years. Roberts is one of the most recognized voices in association of cryptocurrency in the industry. In fact, she is known across America as the "Queen of Crypto."
She has the commitment that it takes to lead others and will continue to teach individuals how to adopt a lifestyle of systematically saving and investing. "I'm a firm believer that you get back what you put out," said Roberts.
"It's a scary time with the economy and people need to learn how to become more financially secure and crypto is the way to help them do that," Roberts pointed out. And even though cryptocurrency is often met with criticism, Roberts still believes in it wholeheartedly.
“May the naysayers live long enough to see my success.”
