DUANE AND TISHA CAMPBELL MARTIN HOST BENEFIT FOR CHILDREN WITH AUTISM APRIL 17 AT THEIR XEN LOUNGE

Comedians, Actors, Musicians and Local Politicians Join Martins in Supporting Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); Proceeds Go To The Wiley Center

WHAT:    The Wiley Center is joining with Xen Lounge to present a fundraiser and evening of entertainment and special guests. Ms. Campbell Martin and her band will perform, artist Man One will free sketch on site; actors, comedians, musicians and local dignitaries will mingle with guests.

WHO:      Duane Martin and Tisha Campbell Martin and friends including actors/comedians/musicians Lewis Dix, Jeffrey Osborne, Melinda Williams, Chris Spencer, Vanessa Williams, Dawn Lewis, James Davis, Johnny Gill, Michael Colyar, Royce Clayton, Donavan Carter and local dignitaries The Honorable Jan Perry, LA County School Board Member Alex Johnson mingle with guests in an intimate setting. Wiley Center founder, Pamela Wiley, PhD, presents details of her organization’s work, particularly addressing disparity of services for children of color with ASD and the importance of providing support for the whole family.

WHY:       The Wiley Center’s fundraising efforts provide scholarships and support for low- and middle-income children with ASD to participate in Say N’ Play Speech Camp, social skills training programs, Drama Kings and Queens theatre program, and employment readiness training. Funds also support ongoing advocacy training for families of children with ASD regardless of income.
