Enjoy the sights, sounds and flavors of Culver City sister cities at a centennial celebration, Sunday, June 11, 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Auditorium.
Paying tribute to the sister cities in Japan, Mexico, Canada, Korea and a new friendship city in Italy, the family friendly cultural event will feature the booming El Marino Rainbow Taiko drummers, the strum of the Mariachi Sol de Mexico, exotic Korean Classical Music and Dance Company dancers and the ballads of Sicily and Canada sung by Tony Soraci and Ronnie Jayne.
Attendees will taste traditional foods from Tentenyu Japanese cuisine, Casa Sanchez Mexican Restaurant, Sorrento Italian Market, Hanjip Korean and Santa Maria BBQ.
Admission for the entertainment, five food samples and one beverage is $10 for adults and $5 for children, ages 10 and under. Ticket prices increase to $12 for adults and $6 for children after May 31.
There will be a silent auction of baskets representing the sister cities.
“The Culver City Sister City Committee has assembled vibrant cultural performances and exceptional international cuisine all in one afternoon that guests of all ages will greatly enjoy,” said event chairperson Al Schreibman.
