The Culver City Cultural Affairs Foundation presents architectureTALKS, a series of three architecture talks presented by internationally renowned practitioners based in Culver City. This series will take place in different locations throughout the city. The proceeds will benefit the technical enhancement of Veterans Memorial Building’s Auditorium with the intent of increasing public performances and film screenings in that venue.
The series will begin on January 25, 2015 with a conversation with award-winning architect Zoltan Pali, FAIA, founder and design principal of SPF:architects located on Washington Boulevard in the Culver City Arts District. Moderated by architectural writer Thomas Aujero Small, Pali will discuss his work on creating the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills. The recently completed and much celebrated “Wallis” transformed a classical Spanish Mission Revival Post Office with the addition of a stunningly modern, state-of-the-art concert hall and performance space. A reception catered by Akasha with wine and hors d’oeuvres will follow the conversation with Zoltan Pali.
