Season Opening, To Honor Veterans

Around Veterans Day, The CULVER CITY SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA honors through music the Men and Women who honor this nation through their military service. The season opening concert pays tribute to the 200th Anniversary of the births of Verdi and Wagner. We offer a unique concert aria by Beethoven, and a dynamic and brilliant Mozart symphony closes the program.

CCSO returns to Veterans Auditorium after our successful summer festival as the Marina del Rey Summer Symphony (same usual suspects in both orchestras). From The Argonaut we received 1st Place as Best Concert Series and Best Cultural Event. We bring the Best Of Marina experiences to Culver City, along with Soprano Erin Wood.

Free parking is available. This concert is under the direction Conductor/Music Director-Frank Fetta.

Admission Charge.

$10 - General Admission, available at the box office and at www.culvercitysymphony.org

$5  -  17 years of age and under, available only at the box office

e-mail: info@culvercitysymphony.org

Members of the Westchester Symphony Society receive two free admissions to up to three concerts except for the last concert, are entitled to reserved concert seating, and to a pre-concert talk given by Conductor Fetta. Membership is available at the concert.

The Culver City Symphony Orchestra is now in its fifteenth year performing in Culver City, and is in its 51th season. It has performed in many regional venues in the communities of Westchester, Venice, Los Angeles, San Gabriel, and now Culver City.

In addition to presenting the standard orchestra repertoire and concert dramatizations of operas, the orchestra has presented unique concerts devoted to Black American, Hispanic, and Women composers.
