’Tis the season at the 2nd annual Downtown Culver City Third Wednesday ‘Holiday Happy Hour.’ Celebrate yuletide spirit and goodwill for all under the sparkling lights of the boulevards and the Culver City Christmas Tree. The Other Reindeer carolers are sure to put you in a festive mood with a medley of classic Christmas tunes, and the outdoor Holiday Ice Rink will offer its Third Wednesday-only “2-for-1 Skate Special.” (Third Wednesday ONLY. Buy two ice rink admissions (general admission or child) and get the lesser of the two free). Make merry with free samples, discounts and a sleigh-full of beer specials at area bars and dining establishments. Stuff your stocking using Third Wednesday discounts from Downtown’s one-of-a-kind specialty stores. Beat the holiday traffic by riding the rails to the new Expo Line Culver City Station. Culver City’s downtown area is Southern California’s best kept secret, featuring a wonderful mix of historic buildings, boutiques, theaters, galleries and unique restaurants opening on to tree-lined streets. Parking is free in municipal structures for up to two hours, or valet parking is available at three convenient Downtown locations. Dec 19; Downtown Culver City is located just south of the 10 Freeway and east of the 405, between the intersection of Culver and Washington Blvds and Dusquene Ave.; Free; www.downtownculvercity.com
