Jewish but not religious?
The SHOLEM COMMUNITY has been a friendly meeting place for secular Jews & multicultural families for more than sixty years!
Founded in the 1950s, Sholem is a multi-generational Jewish community which offers a meaningful, non-religious alternative to synagogues for unaffiliated, progressive Jews and intercultural families.
Sholem's secular Sunday school engages children (4-17 years old) in an exploration of Jewish identity with a focus on Jewish history, culture, and traditions of social justice. Sholem's also offers a monthly parent/toddler group (1st mtg 10/13), humanistic & creative Bar/Bat Mitzvah program, meaningful contemporary Jewish holiday observances, and guest speakers, screenings and other activities for adults and young adults.
Join us for our Fall Open House on the first day of Sholem’s 2019-2020 school year. Visiting families can learn about our programs; hear from our principal, meet current members, and visit our classrooms. Doors Open at 10am; Program 10:30am. (Complimentary bagels & coffee available.)
