'We Tell Stories' continues an enchanting summer season of magical interactive folklore and multicultural story-based plays on Wednesday, July 13 at 2 p.m. Children will be chosen from the audience to dress up and participate. Performances will take place Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m.through August 3. We Tell Stories will share with us a different 'Read for the Win' summer reading-related theme each week. The theme for the 7/13 performance is 'Life is a Marathon' - how do we choose to run it? The following plays are featured: "The Cat Who Became a Poet" by Margaret Mahy (making the best of what comes); "The Story of Jumping Mouse" (a Native American Tale of Trust and Sacrifice); "Three Boys with Jugs of Molasses and Secret Ambitions" by Carl Sandburg. We Tell Stories performances are made possible in part by a Culver City Performing Arts Grant with support from Sony Pictures Entertainment. All ages.
