'We Tell Stories' ends an enchanting summer season of magical interactive folklore and multicultural story-based plays on Wednesday, August 3 at 2 p.m. There will also be a special celebration for our final summer reading event with extra prizes awarded and reading certificates issued. Performances take place Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m. through August 3. Children are chosen from the audience to dress up and participate. We Tell Stories shares with us a different 'Read for the Win' summer reading-related theme each week.The theme for the 8/3 performance is 'Run to the Sun'  - stories of Asian wisdom. The following plays are featured: "Empty Pot" (a tale of honesty); "Two Strong Women" (strength comes in unexpected ways); "The Two Stonecutters" (be grateful for who you are). We Tell Stories performances are made possible in part by a Culver City Performing Arts Grant with support from Sony Pictures Entertainment.
