West Basin and the City of Hermosa Beach will unveil the City’s very first Ocean Friendly Garden on Nov. 26 at 10:00am at the Hermosa Beach Community Center. This garden replaces nearly 2,000 square feet of grass with water-conserving, drought-tolerant plants native to Southern California. It is the ultimate water conservation garden, designed to receive recycled water and incorporates swales and berms to capture rainfall to allow for natural irrigation of the garden during the drought.
