Tell us a little about yourself. Why are you here?

I am the director of the nonprofit, Common Peace, Center for the Advancement of Nonviolence. Our focus is nonviolence education based on the nonviolence teachings and principles of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Martin Luther King,Jr., Cesar Chavez and other nonviolent strategists of our world. We are the task force for A Season for Nonviolence LA, and we offer an amazing nonviolence curriculum and poster entitled 64 Ways to Practice Nonviolence as well as seminars to learn nonviolence tools and strategies - a Nonviolence Animation Summer Camp for teens - and a monthly race relations dialogue at our Culver City Office in The Peace Center on Sepulveda.
