ANGEL CITY DERBY CLOSES RECORD-BREAKING SEASON WITH A DOUBLE HEADER ON NOVEMBER 16

Los Angeles, CA – Angel City Derby brings the 2013 season to a close by challenging two neighboring California teams on their home track at Culver City Veterans Memorial Auditorium on November 16.

At 6:30pm,  Angel City’s regional travel team, The Rocket Queens will take on Hidden City Derby Girls from San Diego, CA. The Rocket Queens have upped their game in 2013 playing twice as many bouts as 2012 and defeating nearly every opponent they’ve faced. Their current record is 12-2.

Following that bout, Angel City’s local travel team, The Road Ragers will close their inaugural season by facing off against neighboring league San Fernando Valley Roller Derby. The Road Ragers hope to bring their record to 9 wins and just 3 losses for the year. They have faced the ladies from SFV in a number of scrimmages but this will be their first public showing against these local rivals!

This double header will close out a record-breaking season for the entire organization. Angel City’s international travel team, The Hollywood Scarlets climbed from #18 to #5 in the Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby Association rankings in 2013. The Scarlets have just returned from the WFTDA Championship tournament after an impressive showing, playing in the tourney for the first time in Angel City’s history.
