Westside Young Democrats Endorses Stephanie Loredo for Culver City Unified School District Governing Board Member

Stephanie Loredo (stephanieloredo.com), an advocate for education, sustainability, and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), today announced she has been endorsed by Westside Young Democrats (westsideyd.com). Stephanie is a candidate for Culver City Unified School District (CCUSD) Governing Board Member. Westside Young Democrats (Westside YD) is a new force for progressive change representing young Democrats on the Westside of Los Angeles County.

Elections for the CCUSD Board will be held on November 8 as a non-partisan contest. In a region of LA County that is overwhelmingly registered Democrats, voters can decide on candidates based on how well their values align. Westside Young Democrats amplifies the voice of young people when it comes to affordable housing, mobility and transit, economic development, education, and labor issues. Its endorsement of Stephanie demonstrates its belief that she will prioritize solutions for the most challenging problems facing young people.

“The Westside Young Democrats unanimously endorse Stephanie Loredo because she shares the same progressive values that our club was founded to promote: equity, affordability, and sustainability. She clearly understands the values that matter to young people — and how to implement them within the school district,” said Rachel Bracker, president, Westside Young Democrats. “Students, faculty and staff will benefit from her significant experience building inclusive spaces for people with diverse racial identities, religions, ethnic identities, genders, sexual orientations, and disabilities. Electing Stephanie Loredo will help bring Culver City's educational community to the next level at a pivotal time in the city's history.”

Westside YD mobilizes young Angelenos to develop relationships with elected officials and promote progressive policies. The organization works to engage young people in local politics, make L.A. affordable and equitable, and build a sustainable future.

“Westside Young Democrats serves as a nexus for future leaders to actively engage with critical issues in Los Angeles and California. I’m grateful for the organization’s efforts in nourishing progressive values in younger generations,” said Stephanie Loredo. “The endorsement from Westside Young Dems illustrates our alignment on liberal principles that prioritize for our community equal rights, housing for all, and care for the environment.”

Stephanie’s vision for public schools continues to resonate with progressive and liberal organizations and community leaders. Public schools are foundational to thriving, healthy communities. To strengthen her community, Stephanie is focused on building a culture of care in CCUSD that embraces the fullness of community members’ humanity. She believes that when students experience a welcoming school environment of belonging, they are better equipped to succeed and thrive.
