Greener Way Associates invites you to a Fruit Tree Pruning Demonstration for healthier harvests on Sunday, December 16th  from 2 - 4 PM @ the Culver City Greener Way Garden, 10708 Northgate Street, Culver City 90230.

Consulting Arborist Pieter Severynen will hold a live pruning demonstration in the Greener Way Culver City orchard, which was laid out and planted for a warm climate. Climate change is affecting our trees and vines, and our practices here are different from those in colder climates.  The demonstration will cover all the trees in the orchard. Participants will observe an on-site demonstration of how to best prune for most abundant tree fruit and long-term tree health.

Mr Severynen teaches advanced arboricultural practices at UCLA. He represented the American Society of Landscape Architects, in the preparation of the recently published 10th Edition of the Council of Tree and Landscape Appraisers prestigious nationwide "Guide for Plant Appraisal” for tree appraisers to evaluate trees.   Maintaining an active arboricultural consulting practice, Mr Severynen conducts tree studies, writes tree reports and evaluations, advises homeowners and institutions on fruit and shade trees, holds fruit tree pruning demonstrations, and lectures on climate and forestry changes.
