Event Description

Direct from Cactus County, California, cowboy Will Ryan, the "King of the Radio Cowboys" brings you mind-boggling musicianship, expert rope-twirling, spectacular pistol-shooting and most importantly, outrageous yarn-spinning! Will Ryan's Cactus County Round-Up is less Country/Western and more Cowboy Bebop/Swing….portraying America’s Cowboy campfire fun-filled jamboree of the old west. His variety show, a cross between the Marx Brothers and The Sons of the Pioneers, has been a staple in Southern California since 2008. Will Ryan is well-known for singing about the American West. He began to write and record songs for Disney and provided the voice of Rabbit, Tigger, and Eeyore in the Disney Channel's long-running series Welcome to Pooh Corner and in many other Pooh cartoons. His compositions have been recorded by artists such as Patti LaBelle, Diane Schuur, Victoria Jackson, The Pointer Sisters and Joanie Sommers (whom he also produced). Also in the band are Westy Westenhofer on tuba, John “Presto” Reynolds on guitar and resophonic, Katie Cavera on banjo, Chloe Feoranzo on mandolin and sax, Benny Brydern on fiddle, and JT Thomas on keyboards. The band usually performs one or two old favorites, but they also present lots of great songs you've never heard before and will want to hear again.
Band members have played throughout the USA, Paris, London, etc. and have shared stages with the like of Rick Nelson, Julie Andrews, Pure Prairie League, Smothers Brothers, Iron Eyes Cody, The Royal Ukulele Band of Hollywood, Count Basie, Doodles Weaver, et al.
Will Ryan, who has a couple gold records and a BMI Pioneer Award for his song-writing and has written songs for Patti LaBelle, the Muppets, the Pointer Sisters, Donald Duck, Diane Schurr, the Cat in the Hat, Joanie Sommers, Tigger, Mr. T, the Grinch, the OK Corral Chorale and others, writes all the new songs for the band.
AND . . .
At this Special Performance, there will be a mind-boggling, seldom-seen display of the bizarre musical art form known as Bi-Labial Fricitation. As a result of this demonstration, the performers and management will not be responsible for anyone experiencing the unpredictable effects of UHS (Unmitigated Happiness Syndrome).

Tickets are $15.
