Tell us a little about yourself. Why are you here?
Hello! My name is Anne. I'm currently a Marketing Director for Southern California Aquatics, a club swim team for adults. Swimming is a passion of mine; I started out as a kid in summer league and then went on to compete for five years in high school. I still try to swim often since it's such great exercise! I'm also an aspiring reporter and recently graduated from the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at USC. I would love to get more publicity for the team and hope to inspire more people to try swimming!
Who referred you to the Culver City Times?

After suffering a heart attack six years ago, Jerome Smith’s heart only pumps at 34 percent of a healthy one. But that hasn’t kept the 73-year-old from blasting away at SCAQ Masters swim workouts. And now he plans to compete in his first swim meet in 15 years.

Two coaches, Olympic gold-medalist David Walters and silver-medalist Clay Evans, are leading free ocean swim workouts at 6:15 a.m. Thursday mornings and Friday nights monthly off Santa Monica Beach. Our next evening swim is 5:30 p.m. September 9.
