Gloria Berlin, the former starlet who was a mainstay with Frank Sinatra and close friends with Michael Jackson is having a film produced on her life. Berlin, an actress during her era, caught Frank Sinatra's eye when she wrote for the Times in Hollywood. Sinatra had lost Ava Gardner and he fell in love with Berlin. After two and a half years, Gloria lost Sinatra to another lady and as a result ended up meeting Elvis Presley at a party near the Beverly Hills Hotel. Years later she became a real estate broker, where she catered to celebrities.Down the street where she lived, her son would play basketball with the Jacksons and Gloria would look for him, finding him at the Jackson home.It was an instant friendship. At that time Michael was making a million dollars a minute. While he was on tour, the animal control received complaints about his exotic animals. Needless to say, it was time for Michael to move. He confided in Gloria Berlin to find him what would be referred to as Neverland Ranch. Through their friendship, Gloria wrote her memoirs of her friendship with Michael Jackson. She published "In Search of Neverland," where she spent two months with Michael inspecting the ranch.I recently interviewed Gloria about the film on her life story. Her book can be purchased on line. In closing she states," all Michael Jackson wanted was peace for humankind and children to be free of illnesses." This is a touch for what is to come in the future.
