Stephanie Loredo (https://stephanieloredo.com), an advocate for education, sustainability, and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), today announced she has been endorsed by Sierra Club. Stephanie is a candidate for Culver City Unified School District (CCUSD) Governing Board Member. Sierra Club (https://www.sierraclub.org) is the most enduring and influential grassroots environmental organization in the United States. 

Sierra Club brings people together to build an environmental movement to mitigate global challenges such as a warming climate and pollution. Culver City Unified School District has a large footprint in the city, employing 800 staff and serving 7,000 students daily on multiple campuses. The district's actions have a consequential ecological impact, which requires leadership that will prioritize sustainability and sound environmental practices.

Stephanie is an active participant and leader in sustainability and mobility efforts in the school district and in the Culver City community at large. These roles include El Rincon Elementary Walk to School Day Chair, Culver City Safe Routes to School Committee, Walk ‘n Rollers 10th Anniversary Planning Committee Volunteer Coordinator, and CCUSD Environmental Sustainability Committee. She has collaborated with stakeholders from local school sites, school board, city council, CCPD and Public Works in Culver City for safe school travel. She is focused on the health and wellbeing of the community and the engagement of stakeholders to be stewards of the Earth.

A candidate for Culver City Unified School Board, Stephanie Loredo is a Filipina American progressive who organizes for local Culver City organizations and regional Los Angeles initiatives. Stephanie is a member of the 2021-2022 Culver City Unified School District (CCUSD) Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) Partner Advisory Committee and is part of the CCUSD Inclusive Practices Administrative Regulations Committee and the CCUSD Equity Advisory Committee. From her previous career, she brings more than a decade of experience managing hundreds of millions of dollars in annual advertising spend.
