The Online Community for Culver City – The New Scene
This summer, as always, Culver City is presenting a series of free concerts in the courtyard of Culver City City Hall. The 2012 summer series offers rock, r&b, jazz, soul, and country acts on six consecutive Thursdays this July and August at 7:00 p.m. The festival is produced by Gary Mandell of Culver City’s Boulevard Music.
This Thursday, July 25, Brenda Lee Eager will perform. A veteran soul singer, Brenda had two R&B chart hits, "Good Old Fashioned Lovin'"in 1975 and "Watch My Body Talk" in 1984. Brenda narrates her own history with artists she has performed with including Etta James, Mavis Staples, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Bobby Womack, Smokey Robinson, Cliff Richard, Gladys Knight, Prince, and Ray Charles. She replaces the previously announced Barbara Morrison.
Culver City Hall is located at 9770 Culver Blvd.
