The Online Community for Culver City – The New Scene
The City of Culver City and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association present a free string quartet performance featuring members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic in the Mike Balkman Council Chambers at Culver City City Hall, on Thursday, March 22, at 7pm. Entitled Music in the Chambers, the concert will feature a string quartet arranged by Los Angeles Philharmonic violinist Robert Vijay Gupta who will perform along with Jin-Shan Dai (violin), Ben Ullery (viola), and Jonathan Karoly (cello). The program will include music by Anton Webern, Ludwig Van Beethoven and others. A question and answer session with the musicians will follow the performance.
Music in the Chambers, sponsored by Sony Pictures Entertainment, is free and open to the public. Music in the Chambers formerly funded by the Culver City Redevelopment Agency will receive alternative private funding this year and will not be supported by the City General Fund. Culver City City Hall is located at 9770 Culver Boulevard.
Reservations are requested and seating may be reserved by calling the City of Culver City’s Cultural Affairs Hotline at (310) 253-5716.
