Culver City Founder Harry H. Culver Speaks

 

We know Harry H. Culver -- founder of Culver City -- was an optimist. You pretty much had to be to envision a successful real estate venture so far southwest of downtown Los Angeles in 1913. Here's further evidence, in the form of a story quoting Culver in the October 25, 1927, edition of the New York TImes. His words, which resonate in today's hard times, exhibit a touching belief in the power of language. Here's the rest of the story:
