The Online Community for Culver City – The New Scene
The public is invited to attend the annual Culver City Historical Society Picnic and meeting held in Veterans Memorial Park at 5:30pm on Wednesday, July 18.
The picnic will be catered by Santa Maria Barbeque and its chef Jim Rodrigues, who will grill tri-tip beef roasts and chicken, which will be served with his special chili beans, potato salad, green salad, garlic bread, homemade cookies and soft-drinks. The event will feature music by the local RAZZMATAZZ Dixieland Jazz Ensemble, and there will be free gifts and door prizes.
Picnic-goers should meet at 5:30 pm for soft drinks and conversation, and dinner will be served from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. The price for this picnic dinner is $25 per person and reservations are required. The cost is $30 on the night of the event without reservations. Children ten years and under are $10. For reservations, call (310) 253-6941, or send an e-mail reservation to info@CulverCityHistoricalSociety.org or send your name, phone number, and a check for $25 per person to Culver City Historical Society, P.O. Box 3428, Culver City, CA 90231-3428.
Deadline for reservations is Wednesday, July 11, 2012.

Last year's Historical Society Picnic was great! Music was fun. Meat choices from Santa Maria BBQ were delicious. I even won a house plant and a chocolate cookbook. So Yes! I just now sent in check for myself plus my friend Gordon. Hope many others do the same. Look forward to seeing everyone!
