Fluxus artist Yoshi Wada, and his son, composer Tashi Wada, will present a a free concert this Sunday, September 27, at the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook.
Wada and his son will present "an expansive duo performance using a loose structure and a unique mixture of acoustic and electronic instruments that includes: sirens, alarm bells, audio generators, bagpipe and reed organ."
Or as Wada puts it: "I search for deep and ringing sound that travels deep into my cells. Where does this sound exist?"
Sir, you had me at bagpipes.
Admission is free, but parking at the top of the Baldwin Hills Overlook is $6. Or, you can park at the bottom of the hill and take the stairs to the top! The Baldwin Hills Overlook is located at 6300 Hetzler Road in Culver City.
