How to Participate in Coastal Clean-up Day at the Ballona Creek Bike Path

The Ballona Creek Cleanup is the City of Culver City's contribution to Coastal Cleanup Day -- this Saturday, September 17, from 9:00 a.m. till noon. To participate, just show up at one of these locations, where there are gates affording access to Ballona Creek:

  • Syd Kronenthal Park at Washington Blvd. and McManus Ave. (at the bike path entrance)
  • Duquesne Avenue (north of Culver City Transportation Building)
  • Overland Avenue (behind Julian Dixon Library)
  • Sepulveda Blvd. (on Bike/Creek path entrance)

You'll to join more than 12,000 volunteers gathering  at 70 different sites all over Los Angeles County to help rid our beaches and inland waterways of trash and debris. Coastal Cleanup Day is an international event, with about 60 countries around the world participating.

Echo Horizon School will host the registration site at Syd Kronenthal Park, and Ballona Creek Renaissance will host the registration site at Overland Avenue.
