LA Weekly Names D*Face Mural in Culver City One of LA's 10 Best Pieces of Street Art of 2014

Going Everywhere Fast, the (completely excellent) replacement mural painted by English street artist D*Face on the side of Corey Helford Gallery on Washington Blvd in February of 2014, has been named by LA Weekly one of the 10 best murals painted in Los Angeles this year. Pieces were judged based on "beauty, originality, political message and the diversity of the artists' backgrounds and locations of their paintings."

Here's what the publication had to say about the piece:

Going Everywhere Fast ... was one of three [D*Face] painted in L.A. in 2014. His simple pop-art style sets him miles apart from other muralists and is clean-cut enough to be mistaken for a logo. This piece speaks to our city's three most prominent fixtures — blondes, motors and dead celebrities.

As many of you will remember, there was previously a different D*Face work in this space. The original was covered up by an extension built onto the office building. Here's how it used to lookL
