Leaf's windows are papered over, and LA Eater verifies the sad new: the raw food and vegan restaurant on Washington Blvd in Culver City is no more. According to a letter from owner Rod Rotondi posted on the front of the restaurant, the closing is part of a larger project of interest to Culver City residents:
The whole property includeing Leaf and the surrounding buildings has been sold to a developer who plans on razing it to the ground and building a new apartment/retail complex. The developer made me an offer I couldn't refuse and so I have sold my lease.
Interesting news. There is an empty lot to the west of Leaf, at Inglewood and Washington (see below). Seems it won't be empty for long.
