New Show by Josh Agle Opens at Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City

Josh Agle's new show, “Pink Elephants,” opens at Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City this Saturday, November 23rd. The opening reception is from 7 pm to 10 pm, and, as always, it's free, open to the public, and usually a lot of fun.

An American artist, Agle is better known by the nickname Shag. Back in 2002, a New York Times article by Roberta Smith summed up Shag's appeal, saying "Ultimately, the eye is snared by Mr. Agle's economic use of saturated colors -- sharp greens and warm lavenders, smoldering reds, sour ochers -- and the tinted-gel space created by his thin-on-thin paint handling."

Corey Helford Gallery is located at 8522 Washington Blvd.
