Ramen Yamada-ya in Culver City to Open This Week

As I previously reported, a new restaurant, Ramen Yamada-ya, is coming to West Washington in Culver City. Driving past the location on Sunday, I noticed this sign: "We will open in 5 days." While this doesn't exactly answer the question of when the restaurant will open, since I'm not when sign was hung, I can say that this means that Ramen is opening this week.

According to Chowhound, we supposed to order the kakuni. According to mrhooks:

I usually go for the kakuni (pork belly) tonkotsu ramen (with thin noodles prepared katamen), but most people I know think that's too much fat for one person in one sitting. Their paigu is good too, as is the chicken karaage (though don't expect Izakaya Bincho goodness). Don't forget to ask for the garlic press.

Ramen Yamada-ya is located at 11172 Washington Boulevard.
