Slideshow of Giggle and Pop Performing at the Culver City Artwalk

Gary Baseman's "Giggle and Pop!" performed at ARTWALK Culver City. I'm so sorry I missed them. They look like they were having fun!

According to creator Gary Baseman, the ChouChous (those figures in pink) take away negative energy and hate (and, incidently, excretes it as creamy, gooey love...uh...yuk?). The ChouChous were performed by the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts, Culver City High School. Choreography was by Julie Carson, and that maddeningly infectious song is by Carina Round. Photos by Billy Bennight, Amanda Rios, Amanda Hale, and Tory Lin.

here and explains that if you played with or hugged one of the pink Chou Chou’s, a girl in a bright dress would give you a Gary Baseman bandana and original piece of stencil artwork created by a Culver City high school student under his supervision.
