The Online Community for Culver City – The New Scene
During tonight's bi-monthly meeting (second and fourth Mondays) the Culver City Joint City Council/Redevelopment Agency will review and consider preliminary plans for improvements to Washington Boulevard, between Mildred Ave. and Wade St. -- including the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Washington Place (rendered above).
If the plans are approved, the council will direct staff to prepare an engineer's report, and they will likely set the time and place of the public hearing that will allow interested parties to "hear and be heard."
There are planters in this space already...
But since these improvements are the third and final phase of the West Washington improvement plan, the new landscaping will be more in line with the landscaped medians west of this location.
The total cost of this phase, including site preparation, construction and landscape planting and irrigation is $662,655.50.
