The Online Community for Culver City – The New Scene
Each friday at 6:00 pm, I'll post a picture of something in Culver City that is 'hiding in plain sight.'
This time, it's this art deco design. It's up high, so you can easily see it if you're looking. Do you know where it is?
If you recognize it, enter your response in the comments!
I'll reveal the answer next Friday.
Last week, we asked you to try to spot this cool wooden sign:
In fact, this is the sign for an small apartment complex at 10406 and 10418 Culver Blvd., across the street from Sony Entertainment.
I love apartment houses that have names, and the (slightly weathered) wooden sign in the shape of an artist's palette really makes this an exceptional example.
"The Studio" is actually right next door to Backstage. See the sign peeking out of the bottom right of this shot?

My guess is the parking garage on Ince - I think I've taken the same picture. That architectural detail on a parking garage is emblematic of what makes Culver City a great city.
The Studio - Although I immediately recognized the palette - I couldn't for the life of me remember where it was. Now that I know I think subliminally I just assumed it was an art store.
