Every other Friday, I post a picture of something in Culver City that is 'hiding in plain sight.' Two weeks ago I asked: Do you know where in Culver City this delicious-looking sundae is?

Culver CIty Times member and "Where Am I" expert Luis Lopez nailed it: "This happy soft-serve and sundae is in the parking lot of the Fosters Freeze on Washington and Redwood." Yep.

Although I've been unable ascertain exactly when the mural was painted or even when this location opened, I can say with good authority that both have been around since approximately the time of Methuselah. Still, I love it. I realize that yogurt is the new ice cream, but there's really nowhere else in the city to go to get that chocolate-dipped fix.

One commenter on Yelp summed up my feelings about this Foster's Freeze exactly: "This place is like sitting in a really cool "Rockford Files" episode + ice cream!"
