The Online Community for Culver City – The New Scene
Every other Friday, I post a picture of something in Culver City that is 'hiding in plain sight.' Two weeks ago I asked: Do you know where in Culver City this cosmic dog is?
Culver City Times member Poppalarge makes it two weeks in a row -- putting previous champion Luis Lopez on notice that there's a new kid in town -- by correctly identifying the artwork as a new addition to the Branded Arts Building, saying, "Took me a while to figure it out, as I didn't realize Branded Arts changes up some of the installations, but it's Nosego on the Branded Arts building(s), corner of Wash & National" Later, he added the observation, "Took me half an hour of Internet research to realize it was exactly where I first thought it would be."
The mural is a very welcome addition to the Branded Arts Building. As Poppalarge mentioned, it's the work of Philadelphia-based street artist NoseGo. Here's some more examples of his trippy, comic creatures.
