The Online Community for Culver City – The New Scene
Every other friday at 6:00 pm, I'll post a picture of something in Culver City that is 'hiding in plain sight.'
This time, it's sign comprised of two stylish swans. Do you know where it is?
If you know, enter your response in the comments!
I'll reveal the answer in two Fridays, when I post a new game.
Two weeks ago, I posted this image of the "Christ the Redeemer" statue at the top of Corcovado mountain. The answer is that it's on Venice Boulevard, just west of Overland, where stands a small building identified, rather grandly, as "The Brazilian Mall."
There is a Supermercado Brazil, a "Tattoo Lab" on the corner, and a lovely tile mural fronting Venice Boulevard.
In this shot, you can also see the other Brazilian touch -- the flag on the curb.
No doubt, one of the things that makes Culver City great is a mix of cultures.
I for one am glad that Brazil is in the mix.
