Artist Victor Man's new show,"The White Shadow of His Talent" opens at Blum & Poe gallery in Culver City this Saturday, April 28. The opening reception is from 6 pm to 8 pm, and, as always, the event is free and open to the public.
According to the gallery's release: "With this new series of paintings and arrangements of images and objects, Victor Man creates non-linear scenarios that are loosely based on nine fictional texts forming the book If Mind Were All There Was. Man commissioned writers, curators, and artists to write texts revolving around the figure of Giuseppe Sacchi, a 17th Century Italian painter who gave up his profession as an artist to become a Franciscan monk and died young." Victor Man was born in 1974 and lives in Cluj, Romania, and Berlin, Germany. The show runs until May 26.
Blum & Poe is located at 2727 S. La Cienega Boulevard
