Catch a Free Concert at the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook in Culver City This Sunday

The Society for the Activation of Social Space through Art and Sound (SASSAS) will be performing a free concert featuring Matt Barbier, Sarah Petersen and "Southern California Sonic Ecology" at the top of the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook in Culver City this Sunday, October 5, from 4-7 pm.

The concert is described as "an exciting aural re-imagining of one of the most iconic Los Angeles region locations in the sound." You can go HERE to see a video that describes that organization and the event in more detail.

Parking is $6 at the top of the hill, or you can park for free on Jefferson and walk on up. 'Course it'll probably be a hot one on Sunday, so bring lots a water -- and perhaps a parasol!

The concert was funded, in part, by a grant from the Culver City Performing Arts Grant Program. The organization also raised more than $5,000 through a Kickstarter campaign to help cover the costs of the event.
