July 21: Culver City Music Festival Presents Ricardo Lemvo's Blend of African and Cuban Music
Come down to the Culver City City Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday to see Ricardo Lemvo perform his innovative blend of Cuban son and African soukous -- with his band Makina Loca. This Congo-born artist of Angolan ancestry sings in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Lingala, and Kikongo.
If the clip below is any indication of the result, you better bring your dancing shoes.
Lemvo appears as part of the Culver City Redevelopment Agency's free concerts every Thursday evenings from July 7 through August 25 at 7 p.m. in the courtyard of Culver City City Hall at 9770 Culver Blvd.
