Culver City Offers Two Holiday Lighting Celebrations This Week

On Thursday, December 3, at 6:00 pm:

Celebrate the season at the annual Downtown Culver City Lighting of the Holiday Tree Ceremony in Town Plaza -- next to the Culver Hotel at Culver Blvd. and Van Buren Place.

Santa Claus will make a special appearance, and members of local choirs will perform. There will also be hot cider, hot cocoa and other festive treats to make everyone feel merry.  Culver City makes this holiday celebration “green," lighting a 22-foot artificial tree with LED lights. The event is presented by the Downtown Business Association and the City of Culver City.

Then on Friday, December 4, at 6:30 pm:

The Culver City Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department will illuminate the "tree" surrounding Veterans Memorial Building Tower, at 4117 Overland Ave. After the illumination, Santa Claus will arrive on a fire truck, and there will photo opportunities as well as holiday crafts and refreshments inside the building's Rotunda Room.
