The Online Community for Culver City – The New Scene
The Culver City Symphony's season opening concert will pay tribute to the 200th Anniversary of the births of Verdi and Wagner -- this Saturday, November 5, at 8:00 pm at the Veteran's Memorial Auditorium. The evening will also offer a unique concert aria by Beethoven, and a Mozart symphony.
Wagner: Siegfried Idyll (1870)
Verdi: “La forza del destino,” (1862) Act I Aria, “Me pellegrina ed ofrana,” Erin Wood-Soprano
Beethoven: “Ah, perfido,” scena and aria for soprano and orchestra, (1796) Erin Wood
Mozart: Symphony No. 35 (Haffner) (1782)
Admission is $10 -- and $5 for those 17 years of age and under.
Members of the Westchester Symphony Society receive two free admissions to up to three concerts except for the last concert, are entitled to reserved concert seating, and to a pre-concert talk given by Conductor Fetta. Membership is available at the concert.
