Culver City Symphony To Play Beethoven, Saint-Saens This Saturday

The Culver City Symphony's annual "Concert for Young Musicians is this Saturday, April 26, at 8:00 pm at the Veteran's Memorial Auditorium. The evening, featuring Beethoven's "Pastorale" Symphony No. 6, will offer performances by the two young violinists who were the winners of the orchestra's most recent Parness Concerto Competition: Aileen Chung-Age 14 and Yu Chao Weng-Age 16. The full program will include:

Saint-Saëns: Violin Concerto, No. 3, 1st Movement

Prokofiev: Violin Concerto, No. 2, 1st Movement

Mendelssohn: "Hebrides/Fingal's Cave" Overture

Beethoven: Symphony No. 6, Opus 68, "Pastorale"

Admission is $10 -- and $5 for those 17 years of age and under.
