The Online Community for Culver City – The New Scene
The Culver City Youth Health Clinic, which provides free quality medical care, mental health services, and health education for the youth of Culver City is truly a special jewel of the city, and a fundraiser on March 10 is a great opportunity to support it.
For more information about the fundraiser, which will be a fun Mystery Night at the DoubleTree by Hilton at 6161 Centinela Ave., contact Diana Hauptman at 310-839-0862 or dianahauptman@yahoo.com OR Andy Alexander at (310) 837-5012 or aatrekker@earthlink.net.
The clinic, which has been in existence for 21 years, is located right between the Culver City Middle School and the Culver City High School. It provides FREE physicals, immunizations, vision and hearing tests, pregnancy tests, birth control, and mental health services for depression, anxiety, eating disorders, substance abuse and family violence. The Venice Family Clinic provides the physical medicine component, and the Los Angeles Child Development Center provides the mental health services. All services at the health center are confidential. Suggested donation amounts based on income and insurance status are encouraged.
To make an appointment call or text 310.667.0917, email oleyva@mednet.ucla.edu, or stop by room 161 of Culver City High School.
