The Online Community for Culver City – The New Scene
The dance troupe Donna Sternberg & Dancers will present The Flowering of Desire at the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook in Culver City this Saturday, November 12, at 3:30. This site-specific performance will use the park landscape as a stage and will be accompanied by live music from composer Ken Christianson. Special guest Dr. Margot Griswold, restoration ecologist with the Los Angeles Audubon, will give a pre-performance talk about the ecology of the surrounding landscape as well as the science and art projects that have been an integral part of the restoration process.
Admission is free, but parking at the top of the Baldwin Hills Overlook is $6. Or, you can park at the bottom of the hill and take the stairs to the top! The Baldwin Hills Overlook is located at 6300 Hetzler Road in Culver City.
This performance is made possible in part by support from the City of Culver City Performing Arts Grant Program as well as Sony Pictures Entertainment and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission.
